In 2008, an occasional series developed of own accord. A series of imagined tales written on the reverse side of a handful of postcard collages. A collage front and back! Over the years, this has grown. Published online, and later bound into zine format, this project continues today. Twenty more Dear You postcard travels await you in this volume.

Dear you,
Sometimes I take great delight in small moments of everyday rebellion. I like to walk out of public restrooms with my paws unwashed much to the horror of the mothers nearby who are in the process of showing their children how to clean their hands properly. I like to shake my fallen hairs onto the neat person sitting beside on the tram. And I like to cross the road on the red man to the obvious displeasure of dog owners and parents trying to teach their canines and children a little road safety awareness. Such things may be small but the pleasure I derive from going against the norm and not being ‘conventional’ and ‘acceptable’ and ‘proper’, the pleasure it is huge. So long as no harm comes, I am content with this. It is one of the great joys of spring.

A 10.5cm X 15cm, 24 page full-colour and B&W zine (with postcard collages front and back) with peppermint cover card and a bright green spine. This zine is a bound tête-bêche (from the French meaning “head-to-toe”, and also referred to as upside-down or reversible binding). You can begin your journey in Genova or Johannesburg. It's up to you.
This zine includes seventeen pages reproduced from the artists book Before all colour faded (Ricordo di Genova) and seven pages reproduced from the artists book In search of a time the heart does not recall (Souvenir of Johannesburg) (2009).
Both artists’ books were exhibited as part of A key to help make your own world visible (Craft Victoria, 2009), and our tale set in Johannesburg was also exhibited as part of By This Unwinking Night (Latrobe Regional Gallery, 2012).

A 10.5cm X 15cm 24 page full-colour and B&W zine with printed grey cover, front and back, and a pale pink spine.
This zine features twelve postcard views of Port Said shown in original B&W state and as hand-coloured and collaged vista. A before and after zine that is directly linked to the artists’ book of the same name which was exhibited as part of Charms of the Gloaming (2012). We hope you find the ‘new’ view a pleasing one.
