Turn a bird, has been made to celebrate Bird’s Eye View: Perspectives on the Art and Science of Ornithology, presented by Museums Victoria at Melbourne Museum as part of Melbourne Rare Book Week, on Saturday the 20th of July, 2024, in which a scientist (Dr Karen Rowe), a historian (Rebecca Carland) and two artists (the two of us) chatter about birds (with John Kean) in art and science including the history of museum science, rare ornithology books and taxonomy, and museum collections as artistic inspiration.
