MELBOURNE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

We were recently commissioned to create the season identity artwork for Melbourne Chamber Orchestra’s 2021 season, and are enjoying being able to hear, live, the images we created to accompany each concert.

The Brothers Bach begins its journey at the Melbourne Recital Centre this Thursday, 29th of April, 2021.

JC BACH Symphony in G minor Op 6 No 6
CPE BACH Piano Concerto in C minor Wq43/4
WF BACH Sinfonia in F Major F67
JC BACH Piano Concerto in E flat major Op 7 No 5

Imagine, for a second, that Johann Sebastian Bach was your father. Imagine a childhood filled with the greatest music of the Baroque, surrounded by your hyper-musical siblings and being immersively mentored by one of Western music’s true geniuses.

William Hennessy has curated an exquisite concert from the music of three of JS Bach’s sons: his eldest, wild-child Wilhelm Friedemann; his most famous, Carl Philipp Emmanuel; and his youngest, Johann Christian. Each in their own way forged extraordinary musical paths into the Classical period. Lauded for her “fearless performance” by the New York Times, pianist Aura Go returns to MCO for performances of concerti by CPE and JC Bach.
